Mary Mac is a Big Sister

Well, we went to the doctor on Tuesday and got to find out what this baby is . . . IT'S A GIRL!!! Yes, the girls will outnumber Sam in our household! We are really excited and glad to see that everything looks good with her so far.

Mary Mac got to go with us to the ultrasound and she absolutely adorable. When they turned the lights out she was not real sure what was going on, but Sam held her so that she could hold my hand the whole time. She kept asking me, "Mommy okay?" She was so afraid that I was hurting. Once they tech got the baby in view, Mary Mac immediately recognized that it was a baby and was so excited because it looked like the baby was waving to her - she said "Hey baby!" Once the tech saw that it was a girl, Mary Mac just kept saying "Baby Tisters" (she was trying her hardest to say sister, but it sounds like we're having twin girls the way she says it! She has already proudly taken on the role of Big Sister. She took a picture of the ultrasound to school and told everyone about her sister. She still was holding on to the picture when I picked her up that afternoon! So cute!

  

  

2nd Birthday Party

Here are pictures from Mary Mac's 2nd Birthday party! All the kids had so much fun - the theme of the party was a Halloween Costume Party. We had face paintings, inflatable bouncing gyms, apple bobbing (the younger kids decided it was more fun to pick up every apple and take a bite, spit it in the bucket, and throw the apple back in - Yuck!) Oh well, they thought it was so much fun! Thank you to everyone who came!

Doctor's Visit

I had my 12 week check-up today and they scheduled me for another ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby on November 14, so stay tuned for the results! I would love to know what everyone thinks it will be.

Big News!

Ok, so now that I've posted some of our most current pictures on our blog, I guess it's time to announce that we will be adding on to the Collins Family (for those of you didn't already know)! We have known for a while now, but I was waiting to make a "mass" announcement. I am 12 weeks as of yesterday and my due date is April 29, 2007. We are so excited and anxious to see how Mary Mac handles being a Big Sister! I know she will be great! Our families would love for everyone to keep us all in your prayers through this pregnancy and pray that we do not have to go through all the complications we had with Mary Mac. We (our family AND our doctors) plan on this baby not coming nearly as early as Mary Mac! I will be sure to keep everyone posted on our blog as to our progress - right now I'm just really tired and ready to get to the next trimester! It's a lot different now that I have a 2 year old to chase around.

Finally! We have now entered the world of blogging. I'm not too sure how this all works, so just bare with me until I can get the hang of it. I've been meaning to do this for a while now and just kept forgetting. I tried using My Space, but it's too complicated and too many ads on every page. This is much better! Hope you all enjoy and I will really try to keep it updated with the goings on in the Collins family.
